Therefore our common appeal:
We want that the people in Austria and Europe respect international treaties and that decade long delays in the implementation are resolved.
We want the people in Austria and Europe to accept superior court decisions and for the political organs to implement these without question. Attempts to destabilize the society and each try to undermine constitutional rulings and to disregard these must be resisted at all costs.
We want all the people in Austria and Europe to give a sign of mutual respect in realizing cultural diversity by using bi- and multilingual place name signs. Unfounded threats and fiction territorial claims aimed at reviving fears for political ends must be opposed.
We want the people in Austria and Europe to be able to, in complete openness, use their language and by learning other languages improve communication amongst themselves.
We want the people in Austria and Europe to meet each other and treat their neighbours with openness and mutual respect.
We want the public in Austria and Europe to see the value of different cultures and languages and to oppose one culture rising above others again.
It is therefore our duty - not as a minority or majority, but as citizens of the Austrian State and of the European Union-, to defend our constitution from all attempts to undermine it;
to understand, that the rights of 'smaller' cultures and languages can not be decided by the majority.
It is therefore our explicit wish, to promote bilingual place name signs in Carinthia and to herewith express as citizens of this country and the European Union, that it is mandatory to respect the constitution and that decades of constitutional obligations must be met immediately;
to realize the equal rights of cultures and language - without turning Europe into a supranational state;
to treat the promotion of bilingual place names as a request for all in Europe to send a signal for harmonious coexistence. This would prevent all those who still propagate the "superiority" of their own culture (which diametrically opposes a peaceful community in Europe, Austria and Carinthia).
